Jumbo Goody Bag Cuppies

These bunch of cuppies was another long travelled ones.
Individually packed in clear mica plastic, pink ribbon for the girls and green for the boys. In 4 cardboard boxes, I sent them from Jakarta to Bandung to meet their owner, Kathleen the birthday girl.

Khung Ming is another long lost friend, and I was quite surprised to get his mail commenting on my Doraemon cuppies. He showed my blog to Yuli, his wife who then decided to ordered some for their daughter's birthday goody bag at school.

The special request was for the cakes to be bigger than usual cupcakes, so I had to hunt for a special cups - so lucky I found these alum foil cups that could hold 3 times as much volume as normal cuppies. As the cups are also stronger than paper cups, I was more confident that these jumbo cuppies could travel safely to Bandung.

Kathleen is a big fan of Barbie and Disney Princesses, so the edible of them was a must. The girls' cuppies were dressed in pink poured fondant and star trimmits and crystal sugar.

And some army of boy's fave Ben10 in green.

Yuli
called me once she got her hands on the cuppies, Cititrans had taken a good care of the 4 boxes, all arrived in perfect condition so Yuli was happy, I was relieved, and I heard that her daughter was also very excited with her Barbies and Princesses!

Cookies to Welcome Fakhri!

Winda called me a few months ago with some inquiries on lolly cookies she saw when she visited Baby Adia. She called me again on a late Sunday afternoon, and ordered these lolly cookies to welcome her newborn baby boy, Fakhri. The cookies are for guests to take home as thank you gift, therefore Winda wants Fakhri's name written on them.

I jumped off my seat and run to the kitchen right away as Fakhri was born that morning, so his mum would need the cookies right away! Plus the fact that my family & I were going to go out of town on Tuesday morning, I would need to finish the cookies for Monday delivery.

Gathered the ingredients and utensils while my kids were napping, I worked on the dough and icing, and only stopped for a quick shower and dinner. Luckily my Mum stayed over before our vacation, she helped me taking care of the kids so I could finish the whole 30 cookies right on time to tuck them in their beds. Thanks Mum!!

Started decorating them overnight and only finished at about 2 in the morning, I couldn't do a fancier style (sorry Winda...) and got them all packed and ready by 3 a.m.

Got the cookie jars just before I drove to the hospital, and even wrap and tied the cookie bouquets in front of the new proud parents of beautiful baby Fakhri.
I hope Winda & Agus like the cookies despite the time constrained creation.
Welcome Baby Fakhri!

Ladybugs & Roses Cuppies

A box of cuppies as a thank you gift for our friend dr.Joyce.
I've known her from uni back then when we attended the same alma mater. She's a very good and caring doctor, she's the one we count on when one of us get sick, and we often bother her on the most inconvenient hours like Saturday midnight (!!), but she always gets back to us by calling back or replying my text messages.

Can't thanks her enough for all her help.
But at least we can occasionally send her something from our kitchen as she likes my baking goods. It's not Macaroni Schotel this time - but some cupcakes with cute garden theme.

Vanilla & Choc Chip and Chocolate & Choc Chip flavour, all covered in soft pastel green fondant, sprinkled with green sugar crystals for sparkling effect.
Some bright red ladybugs were sunbathing among pink and peach roses, all made of fondant and edible.
It's nothing compares to all the helps dr. Joyce had provided us with, but at least it's something to snack on while she enjoys her weekend holiday, right, Doc?

Mum's 60th Birthday

It's our Mum's 60th birthday in May this year, so my sister and I decided to throw her a surprise dinner party and invited our family and relatives, plus a few of her best friends to her favourite cafe in Bandung.
As our Mum loves flowers, I made about 100 cookies with flowery themes, all in sort of colours and shapes as a thank you gift for the guests.

Simple heart patterned ones,

And plenty of free hand flowers ...
