Brandon's One Month Minicake

This minicakes are thank you gifts from Brandon's parents for their relatives and friends, on Brandon's one month celebration.

The tiger was to represent Brandon's chinese zodiac, and I asked the proud parents if they don't mind using a more modern colour scheme, rather than the classic blue-white for baby boys. I am glad we tried something more fun :)

Hello Kitty Cake for Alicia's 5th Bday

The Hello Kitty theme party for Alicia was decided early, so lucky I had time to think and ordered the dummy foam head.

The body is pink buttercake with blueberry filling, about 15cm tall, in total with its head, this Hello Kitty stood about 30cm tall.

Birthday girl was happy and all smiley, and the pink buttercake gained compliments :)

Farm Cupcake for Zee's 1st Bday

We had to think a bit hard to decide the theme for Zee's 1st Bday cupcake.

Mommy Deci wanted something girlie and fun so finally she picked the animals - and I decided to create a 'farm' for Zee.

Ended up as a very fun project to do, and the outcome is fun, too!

Ben10 Cake for Dominique

A Ben10 cake for Dominique who turned 5 , along with the cuppies which I made with cut out techniques.

Puji, Dominique's Mum is very supportive and patient with me, so thanks for that, Miss! :)

Tweety for Hendri from Angel

A Tweety cake from a girl who knows her boyfriend is a big fan of this yellow bird.

So lucky I mentioned this project to a kind friend, Anne, who then mentioned she had an unused Tweety silicon mould that I could borrow.

Was unsure of how I was going to cover the 3D cake with fondant that it required more than just 1 cover colour, but somehow managed to tackle the challenge in my own way, thansk to my faithful knife, hehehe.

Happy Birthday Hendri, hope the Angel you have and this cake brighten up your birthday before the big 30 comes next year! :D

Mario Bros Cake for Caitlin

Caitlin's Mum called to order a birthday cake for her daughter, mentioning that Caitlin is a bit of a tomboy so she wouldn't want anything too girlie.

I was glad she didn't settle for a Ben10, but accepted the Mario Bros theme!

Was a fun challenge as this was my 1st Mario Bros cake, and it turned out quite cute - at least I think so.

However, the feedback from Caitlin's Mum I get thru sms was a very pleasant one, it pays off the extra effort of me & Nico bringing the cake ourselves to Bogor!
